Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you clean cans that are used to collect grass clippings?
A: The short answer is NO. Our advanced eco friendly filtration system cannot handle an over abundance of raw grass clippings. The clippings clog our filters rendering the cleaning unit useless. However, we can clean a bin with grass clipping residue. If you are able to see the bottom of your bin, we will be able to clean it.
Q: Why do I need to have my trash bin cleaned by Gross Busters?
A: Let’s face it, garbage bins are nasty and cleaning them is no easy task. More so, they are a breeding ground for all sorts of disease causing bacteria. Our specialized equipment was specifically designed to sanitize garbage/recycle bins. There simply is no better way to clean, sanitize, and deodorize your bins.
Q: How often should my trash and recycle bins be cleaned?
A: Our goal is to keep your bins clean and fresh. We found that a thorough cleaning/sanitizing each month is the optimal schedule. We simplified our service schedule to only reflect monthly cleanings for this reason.
Q: How will I know that my bins have been cleaned?
A: You will receive a text message advising you of our estimated arrival on your scheduled service date. After we’re done, your bins will smell better than they ever have before and you will immediately notice how sparkling clean they are!
Q: I like to take my trash bins away from the curb immediately after they are emptied. How long should I leave them curbside?
A: We will let you know the day of your scheduled service. We ask that you keep your bins at the curb until we arrive or at least until 5pm.
Q: When will my service day be?
A: Your bins will be serviced in the same week each month. We follow local trash/recycling schedules and holidays. Unless we advise you differently, we will service your bins the same day that your trash is picked up.
Q: Do my bins need to be empty to receive service?
A: Yes. If we come to service your trash bins after they’ve been emptied and they have debris in them, we will have to come back on a later date of our choosing. For more information, read our Service Agreement.
Q: What areas do you serve?
A: Our vast service area includes the southern Lake County cities/towns of Crown Point, Winfield, Cedar Lake, Lowell, St. John, Schererville, and Dyer.
Q: How do I cancel my subscription?
A: All cancellation requests should be sent to cancel@gross-busters.com.
